ecoFact:
Only 30% of 17,000 petrochemicals available for home use, have been tested for exposure to human health and the environment.

Go to your cleaning cabinet right now. Pick up any cleaner and read the label. Does it contain sodium hydroxide, phenol, ammonia or formaldehyde? These, and many others, can be toxic. Toxic … as in dangerous, harmful to yourself, and to your family. Your home is no place for products like that.

Why not get rid of those troublemakers? Responsibly, of course.
When you welcome Botanecol® into your home, you can rest assured you’re letting in a product made by people who care as much about your family’s health and safety as you do. You’re also getting a product with absolutely none of those hazardous ingredients we named previously.

Some Startling Statistics
In 2000, cleaning products were responsible for nearly 10% of all toxic exposures reported to US Poison Control Centers, accounting for 206,636 calls. Of these, 120,434 exposures involved children under six, who can swallow or spill cleaners stored or left open inside the home.

In a 2002, the US Geological Survey took stream water samples across the country and found persistent detergent metabolites in 69% of the streams tested. Sixty-six percent contained disinfectants.

A 2006 study at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston concluded that chemicals in commercial air-fresheners can lead to the formation of cancerous cells suppressing enzymes that are essential for regulating normal cell death.

A person who spends 15 minutes cleaning her shower could inhale three times the “acute one-hour exposure limit” for glycol ether-containing products, as determined by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.

Cleaning ingredients can pose a variety of health hazards. Some cause acute – or immediate – hazards like skin or respiratory irritation, watery eyes or chemical burns, while others are associated with chronic – or long-term – effects such as cancer. Common household cleaners emit fumes that have been linked to increased risk of your kids developing asthma, the most common serious chronic childhood disease. One in 13 school-aged children has asthma. Rates in children under five have increased more than 160% between 1980 and 1994.

Protect Your Family and the Earth. Save Money.
Not only is Botanecol® a non-toxic, child-safe, all-purpose cleaner made from renewable plant resources – it’s also highly economical to use. Our super-concentrated formula lets you add varying amounts of water to our measured applicator bottle depending on the specific cleaning project. You’re paying only for pure cleaning power, not the added water found in many other common cleaners. And that saves you money.

Concentrated cleaning power. Fewer bottles to recycle. Botanecol® plant technology puts the power of nature to work cleaning your house while providing the kind of care your family and the environment deserve.
