Step Two - Reduce

Step Three - Offset

After you’ve begun to offset your own emissions encourage friends and family to do the same. You can even purchase carbon offsets as gifts for other people. Also, try to make a point of supporting businesses that are either carbon neutral, or offer carbon-neutral products or services. If the businesses you deal with aren’t yet carbon neutral, ask them to consider it.

While reducing energy use should always be the first priority, carbon offsets are one way to encourage the transition from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy, and to show your support for action on climate change.
