EOS Genesis Platinum Water Ionizer
What is so unique about
a Water Ionizer?
A water ionizer should not to be confused with the typical
water filters found in most stores. The Genesis Platinum
Water Ionizer is much more than merely a water “filter.” Although
the ionizer passes incoming water through a seven-stage
filter that purifies water to 99.99% using silver-activated
granulated carbon, it is the next phase that separates
the EOS Ionizer from ordinary water filters or magnetic
devices:
1. State-of-the-Art Water Technology
Unlike devices that filter through magnetic rock, or pre-bottled “chemicals-added” water,
the Genesis Platinum uses its own micro-computer to accurately
control the rate of pH and REDOX (antioxidant quality)
output. This allows users to pre-select their preferred
type of water, according to what their bodies need.
The alteration to the water molecules (H2O to OH- + HO)
creates changes in the physical characteristics of the
output alkaline water (change in pH, oxygen content, lower
surface tension, radical ions). Japanese studies, along
with our own clients’ experiences here and overseas,
show significant health benefits to drinking this kind
of water.
2. Health Benefits
Alkaline water ionizers improve the taste of food beyond
that of normal filtered water. It very often allows users
to modify their diet naturally and without stress as
the user's basic pH balance changes. Weight loss is a
common bonus of drinking from alkaline water ionizers,
and it has a major effect on many teenagers' lifestyles.
Users commonly report major health changes, especially
for chronic conditions including skin complaints, CFS,
MS, migraine, arthritis and many more. Pets love it.
The byproduct, acid astringent water, is
beneficial for various skin complaints and can be used as
a hair rinse, eyewash and mouthwash, as well as for mild
antibacterial cleansing. Users have also reported excellent
results for tinea and eczema.
Why isn't the Genesis
Platinum widely available in stores?
As water ionizers are relatively new to North America, potential
customers are best served by speaking with some one who personally
uses the water ionizer, rather than relying upon a fancy brochure
or a retail store clerk without any user experience. If you’d
like to ask anything of one of our Affiliates who personally use
the EOS Genesis Platinum, please contact a Customer Care Representative.
Why is the Ionizer so
expensive?
Frankly, it isn't. When compared with other units on the market,
the EOS Genesis Platinum represents exceedingly great value. Furthermore,
compared to bottled water, it’s both economical and environmentally
acceptable. The total cost per liter of ionized water produced is
only 17¢!
In fact, you get the same or more benefits from the Genesis Platinum
than you do from higher-priced units being marketed (some of which
can cost as much as $4,000!).
Just what is the magic
in a Water Ionizer?
The “magic” is really a simple process called electrolysis,
or ionization… something your body does every day to make
energy available. Our ionization process is backed up by the high-tech
microcircuitry that maintains quality and regular output while removing
harmful chemicals and retaining beneficial minerals. This is why
Sang Whang, author of “Reverse Aging,” calls it “REVERSE
AGING WATER.”
A custom-designed motherboard controls all aspects of the ionization
process, including flow rate, water temperature and a range of seven,
customizable pH output settings.
Will my Ionizer fit my
kitchen tap?
Your water ionizer comes with an adapter kit that will fit most
traditional taps but might not fit some designer taps with pull-out
handles and a flexible hose. To learn more, please Contact Customer
Care and tell us about your requirements before ordering.
The Genesis Platinum is actually easier to use than most water ionizers… easier,
even, than operating a DVD player! Just attach the sturdy diverter
valve to your faucet, connect the supplied hose to the diverter,
then fit the other end to the inlet valve. Another hose attaches
to the ionizer to allow the astringent (acid) water out of the filter.
Do I need any special
fittings?
We have supplied Genesis Platinum Ionizer units to many hundreds
of homes thus far and have not found a tap we were unable to fit.
How do I get my ordinary
tap water once it's attached?
The diverter has a lever that swaps the water flow from your tap
to theGenesis Platinum’s’ alkaline water outlet. It also has an incorporated
aerator.
Can it go under my sink?
No. The current Genesis model is designed for countertop use only. ecomart® is
currently working with EOS manufacturing in Korea and our North American
importer in the development of an under-the-sink model. Stay tuned
to this Website, as we’ll be one of the very first resellers to offer
the next model of this state-of-the-art water ionizer.
Can I fit it to my existing
water filter?
You can, to some. Please check with us on this one.
Why does it 'split' the
water into acid and alkaline?
The “splitting” of the inlet H2O is the proof the
ionizer does what it’s supposed to do. The process of splitting
causes the following:
a. Approximately 70% of the H2O input is molecularly rearranged into
OH-, or alkaline, negatively charged water, and
b. Approximately 30% of the input H2O is molecularly rearranged into
HO, or acidic water.
Some companies sell units that use magnets or magnetic rock to alter
water. However, such products – which claim the benefits of
water ionizers but do not electronically split the water – will
not hold the water’s negative charge long enough for it to
be of any real value, or will not be able to exert enough magnetic
power to cause the water to become negatively charged. The water
molecules will reunite very quickly back into ordinary H2O.
What can I use the acid
water for?
The acid water is a “free” bonus. It’s excellent
for all manner of skin complaints. You can use it as an astringent
face wash at night before bed. It's also great for hair care, acne,
sores, benchtop sterilization and more. We’ve found that hardly
a week passes by without us getting a call from a client who has
found a new use for it.
One client collects the acid water in the sink and, after rinsing
her dishes, dips them into the acid water to sterilize them before
putting them away. Potted plants love it because it closely resembles
rainwater.
What about no-filter
backwash systems?
There is only ONE backwash system made by a small Japanese company
and promoted by an American company with the help of an advertising
agency. Backwash systems come and go but haven’t caught on
because they’ve never been able to match their claims. Industry
experts will tell you that, even in commercial systems, backwashing
is a risky hygiene decision simply because unfiltered water is used
to backflush the filter, thereby compromising its cleanliness. Imagine
the state of your sink, over the years, if you used hot water only
(without scrubbing).
Extravagant claims have been made over the years about longevity
using backwash, but in the systems we’ve tested, we’ve
found the effectiveness of the devices seems to diminish within as
little as a couple of years.
The other problem of backwashing systems that “emit” minerals
is that no filter has ever been able to uniformly emit, leach or
add minerals to output filtered water. While they might emit beneficial
added minerals shortly after you purchase them, there’s no
guarantee they will continue to do so… and the longevity
claims make this even harder to substantiate. With all water filters,
the longer they work, the less efficiently they work. Only time will
tell if such systems can meet their promise of uniform delivery of
beneficial minerals. Unfortunately for those who purchase these systems,
there’s no way – barring expensive laboratory testing – to
know if these systems deliver what they say they do.
Why does the Water Ionizer’s
filter leave some minerals in and not others?
The filter (depending on model) is a silver-activated antibacterial
charcoal filter. It filters to 0.01 microns, which – according
to John Archer's book, “The Water You Drink” – even
filters out viruses. However, it does not filter out minerals that
are in solution because they won’t stick to the carbon. Calcium,
being a suspended mineral, is removed by the filter.
However, if you choose, you can add calcium to the inlet
port on the top of the Genesis Platinum unit that’s made for
just this purpose.
It’s important to understand, though, that our body’s
calcium levels are only ever changed to a maximum of 15% by dietary
supplement. The real loss (70%) comes when the body leaches calcium
from our bones to balance our excess acidity. As your water ionizer
does its job and relieves your body's task of maintaining an alkaline
balance, your body leaches far less calcium. In other words, ionized
water reduces the need for calcium supplements over and above normal
dietary intake.
What about hard water
areas?
Some areas may require a
pre-filter. Please contact us for more information.
How do I change the two
Genesis Platinum filters?
1. With the back of the Genesis Platinum facing you, open either
the filter one or filter two door by pulling on the plastic tab toward
you.
2. Open the front, grab the filter, press down a little and pull
it out. Run the system for a few minutes to clear away any loose
charcoal.
Are Ionizing Water Filters
just another new, unproven health fad?
Water ionizers have been in use worldwide for more than 20 years,
in both homes and industrial applications. In Korea, ionizers have
been approved by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. Millions
are already in use in Japan.
What harmful organisms
and chemicals does the Genesis Platinum Water Ionizer
remove from water?
The primary ones: chlorine trihalomethanes, suspended solids, cryptosporidium,
parasites (cysts), water-borne flu virus, E. coli, suspended solids,
organic compounds, bacteria and radioactive particulates.
What kind of maintenance is required for the Genesis
Platinum?
Apart from the timely replacement of its two prefilters, the new
Genesis Platinum with its fully automatic cleaning system, requires
no maintenance. The Genesis Platinum water ionizer comes with a five
(5) year Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Where are the Ionizers
made and who is the Manufacturer?
All Genesis Platinum Water Ionizers are made in Korea by EOS HiTech
co. Until recently EOS only supplied component parts to other water
ionizer companies including the KYK Genesis. Like most ionizer
companies, the KYK company was primary an assembler of components
under their brand name of KYK. EOS has now launched their own line
of water ionizers called the Lydia series. The Lydia series
uses better components than the KYK Genesis, higher quality solenoids,
more efficient and powerful SMPS system, and the same slotted plates.
The EOS Genesis Platinum has NRTL and is registered with the FDA.
It is also approved in Korea by the KFDA, whose standards are stricter
than the US health department, as medical devices.
What if I have a problem
installing my Water Ionizer?
The ionizer is very easy to hook up to most conventional faucets,
and every Genesis Platinum unit comes with simple instructions and
diagrams. If you have a problem, we’re always on hand to assist you either
via “Live Chat” Customer Care or eMail.
What kind of Warranty
does the Genesis Platinum have?
The EOS Genesis Platinum comes with a Manufacturer’s Five
(5) Year Warranty. We will repair or replace any part that, in our
opinion, is defective. This Warranty is voided if the unit has been
subjected to tampering, alteration or improper use after delivery,
or has been repaired by anyone other than an authorized representative
of EOS.
Health Related Benefits
Why can't I just drink
water?
You certainly can, but if you're like us, you never really got into
the water habit because it sits in your stomach like a lead balloon.
Ionized water from water ionizers is light water. It has a smaller
molecular cluster and it’s easy to drink it all day.
You CAN drink just regular water and still gain some of the health
benefits we describe. But regular water can’t penetrate your
cells like alkaline, ionized water. Ionized water, with its bounty
of negative oxygen ions, helps rid your body’s cells of acid
wastes. Ionized water can go where ordinary water cannot, and it
has the ammunition to neutralize free radicals, a cause of disease
and aging. This is also the fundamental difference between water
ionizers and so-called bottled anti-aging water: our ionized water
is “alive.”
How do I know if I have
acidosis or acid-overload?
Most people in the Western world do. The pace of life, the state
of our foods, the concentration of acid-producing items in our diet
means that 99% of people are overloaded. You know that rare individual
who seems calm all the time? It's a very good bet that he or
she isn't acid-overloaded.
You can use a litmus urine or saliva test to give you some idea
of your acidity. This is not foolproof, however, because your body
is always attempting to balance your acid and alkaline levels and
could well be getting rid of a load of acid at the time of the test.
It pays to look at your diet. You’ll find many Websites can
provide you with a list of acid and alkaline-producing foods.
How can an Ionizer treat skin rashes and acne?
Acid water kills bacteria and keeps our skin clean naturally. It’s
also a natural astringent that will tighten as it cleans, and won't
irritate skin like chemical-based acne and rash treatments. To learn
more, please refer to our testimonials.
I can't seem to keep to a consistent wellness program. How will an Ionizer help me?
Ionized, micro-clustered alkaline water is perfect for people just
like you. You only need to drink it to enjoy its many health benefits,
and your ionizer offers a number of graduated settings of ionization.
So what if water is easier to absorb?
With the increased solubility
of the water, it’s more readily absorbed into your body. Your
skin and hair become significantly softer, and your body’s ability
to absorb vitamins and minerals can be enhanced. It also may help clear
up some digestive problems.
Why is some water healthier than others?
People located in the Hunza Districts of Pakistan, Shin-Chan areas
of China, the Caucasus in Azerbaijan, and in the Andes Mountains
live longer with fewer health problems. Researchers believe the pure
waters in these regions have a negative redox potential caused by
either intimate contact with certain native volcanic materials/ minerals
or by cascading over certain igneous rocks. Genesis Platinum Ionizers
are proven to produce the same effect.
Shouldn't we be drinking water as close to our blood pH as possible?
In a perfect world, we would have perfect pH input to our bodies.
Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world and the reason ionized
alkaline water is so popular is because we are almost all excessively
acidic. The pH of our blood is the supreme commandment of the body.
All systems work to support its stability, often to the detriment
of “lower-order” body systems such as the pancreas, kidneys,
bones and pH buffering system. Even the lower intestine suffers with
leaky-gut syndrome when your stomach can’t digest properly … and
you can’t digest properly if your blood pH is being supported
first by robbing the stomach of its alkaline pH buffers.
Our bodies are not unlimited systems, and they’re forever
shunting resources around to the places of most need. Because we
have an excess of acid entering our bodies, and a scarcity of alkaline
foods or water, we drink water that is more alkaline than the blood
pH. Scientists at Shiga University in Japan have determined the best
pH for drinking water is between 8 and 9.5.
