At ecomart^® we have done all the research for you and selected only those products that we believe make a positive contribution to reducing your environmental impact and move toward a more sustainable lifestyle.

• Energy saving – Helps you reduce your consumption of electricity and other energy sources.
• Water saving – Helps you reduce your water use. While nearly 75 percent of the Earth is covered in water, only 2.5 percent of that is fresh and most of that is inaccessible in polar ice caps.  Each day, one billion people lack access to safe drinking water and water-borne illness is the leading cause of death worldwide. Think of this when you turn on the tap.
  
• Recycled or Recyclable – Made from recycled materials or can be recycled after use. Our bottled product uses #2 HDPE plastic, which can be recycled to make plastic lumber, pipes, traffic cones, trash cans, recycling bins, flower pots and outdoor furniture. Please remember to always recycle your finished bottles.
• Biodegradable – Made from materials that can be broken down safely and relatively quickly by biological means into the raw materials of nature, which can then disappear into the environment.
• Organic – Made from natural ingredients, containing no synthetic chemicals. Organic products are better for your health and they are better for the Earth.
• Certified Organic – Certified Organic does not just mean chemical-free: it’s a designation that takes into account about the whole natural system of soil, plants, people and the environment. Products that are Certified Organic must meet stringent environmental standards to qualify. That’s why Organic Certification is a critical part of our commitment to social responsibility.  We encourage consumers to look for the Organic seal on all food and beverage products they purchase.
• No Animal Testing –  As a matter of policy, we are opposed to animal testing and do not knowingly market or distribute any product that has been tested on animals of any kind, anywhere in the world.
• Sustainable – Made from natural materials whose growth (production) and usage can meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. These include products that promote more sustainable lifestyles.
• Fair Trade – Fair Trade certification ensures that workers receive a fair share of profits and that products comply with specific criteria set by FLO International (whose members include TransFair USA and TransFair Canada) to ensure equality, fairness and environmental standards. A joint body of workers decides how to reinvest profits from the sale of products to support community development projects.

Note: As much as possible, we aim to make sure all our natural foods and supplement products are certified as Organic and/or Free Trade. However, in some instances, a great product that effectively reduces your eco-footprint may not yet be certified by the applicable agencies, but is produced and delivered in compliance with international standards.

Shipping Your Order – Whenever possible, we use boxes that are made from a minimum 30% recycled material. You will not find any plastic bubble wrap or packing peanuts when we ship to you. Instead, we use 100% recycled bogus paper. In certain circumstances, we find it’s necessary to enclose bottled liquids in resealable plastic bags to avoid potential leakage from shipping damage beyond our control.
